Pablo Picasso changed the direction of twentieth-century painting; from Cubism to his classical period he never settled into one manner. The single work here is Le Rêve, painted in 1932.

Alongside it are wood-framed three-piece Picasso sets. The joint set pairing Picasso with Wassily Kandinsky sits in the Kandinsky section.

Sizes 30x40, 40x50, 50x70 and 61x91 cm; black, white, oak and walnut frames. Picasso's flat, saturated colour fields are balanced by white and oak.
