Kandinsky Prints
Wassily Kandinsky is counted among the pioneers of abstract painting. He used colour and form not to depict something but to produce a feeling directly; the link he drew between music and painting lies behind the rhythmic marks and lines of his canvases.
Besides single prints, the section includes the Picasso & Wassily Kandinsky three-piece set, which brings work by both artists into one arrangement.
Sizes 30x40, 40x50, 50x70 and 61x91 cm; black, white, oak and walnut frames. Abstract compositions stand out in a plain white frame; black pulls darker pieces together.
